Values

So as we are meeting with people, looking into, praying over and talking about values, I thought I would post up what some other communities have been inspired to run with. These are from people and places we have been reading about recently and inspired by, seeing the Lord working out His thing in amongst them all. Please feel free to comment...

Patience

So i'm not a very patient person (this is confirmed by my desire to blog every 2 days about something which has bearly begun but nevertheless i will think, plan, blog about), but I think God is calling me, and maybe a corporate us to be patient, to wait upon Him. I have prayed 'I want patience' and have actually been challenged that it may not be bestowed upon me in a divine zap. Infact I am concerned that it will actually be developed in me by a difficult and even long (imagine!) time of waiting. And this pains me. As I type my husband is listening to a song by Hillsong 'He will come to us'. A song, not only about waiting, but about the power in waiting.

We are nor shaken
We are not moved
We wait upon You Lord
Mighty deliverer
Triumph and truth
We wait upon You Lord
As surely as the sun will rise
You'll come to us
Certain as Your word endures
You'll come - Flood into our thirty hearts again
Chains be broken
Lives be healed
Eyes be opened
Christ is revealed

Psalm 27 v 14 'Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord'

Psalm 127: 1 'Unless the Lord builds the house, the workers labour in vain'.

So the workers are trying to work a little less and pray a little more. They seek the Lord in the bricks and the mortar, but the ideas, the passions and the dreams are there, stirring in the little hearts of James, Phil, Charlotte, Laura ....
